Giving The Boot To Muddy Footprints!

With the winter months upon us, that means the arrival of mud especially if you live or walk in the countryside during these months. If you have animals such as dogs and horses, the winter time creates hard work in keeping everything clean especially travelling with damp wet dogs in your car or mud splattered horse tack!

With many car boots having carpeted sides and textured trims, mud and dust are easily ingrained and difficult to clean. With my previous car using the boot for my dogs to travel in daily and transporting horse feed and tack, it was beginning to suffer and becoming so difficult to keep clean. I needed a boot liner and upon searching for a suitable product, I found The Hatchbag Company who make tailored to fit PVC liners for a huge range of car models that are out there.

My tailored made boot liner with bumper guard arrived swiftly and I was impressed how high quality the product was made with sturdy stitching meaning it would be really hard to rip or tear, which was my main concern. It came with full and clear instructions on how to fit together with extra velcro fittings to ensure that the liner was fitted securely. It was easy and quick to fit and I was amazed how it hugged the interior of my boots fitting perfectly. Choosing black among the wide range of funky colours for my black car, it really looked slick and actually from a distance you wouldn’t see a liner was in the boot of my car.

I went on to use the liner daily for the next two years with muddy wet dogs and horse tack and feed, together with shopping bags and travel holdalls. It really is a brilliant product as it didn’t rip or tear and it kept its shape. I actually never removed it during that time but it would be easy to do so if you wanted to. It can be hoovered and wiped over with ease keeping your boot in tip top condition. 

I recently changed my car to a different model and the first thing on the agenda was to buy another Hatchbag. What was so great to see was when I went to trade in my car, the old liner removed easily revealing a clean boot! What a relief and no scrubbing and hoovering ingrained dog hairs.
