Countryside Blogger of the Year Award Postponed to 2021
It is with much regret that the organisers of this year’s Countryside Blogger Awards have announced that they have come to the decision to defer the Awards to 2021 in light of the COVID-19 situation. In a joint statement, the judges, Sam Hobden of countryside blogger portal, Haynet and Ashley Rossiter, MD of PR & Lifestyle Agency, MirrorMePR said:
“Given the continuing Covid-19 situation, we felt it was not morally right to expect our countryside community to be focusing on updating their blog content during a time when for many blogging is an enjoyable pastime, not a full-time career.
With the rural and farming sector being impacted by the virus, we felt that everyone’s focus has been where it should be, on their families, their livelihoods and keeping safe. We look forward to judging these awards next year in much happier circumstances when we hope life has returned to a near normal”.
At this moment in time, their sister awards, the Equestrian Blogger & Vlogger Awards are still planned to go ahead in the latter part of the year, however, the judges will be continuing to monitor the situation.
