The salon is purpose-built using the best equipment available. Natural shampoos and treatments are offered which give long term benefits to your dog’s coat health. All appointments begin with a seven point health check so that Samantha can assess any unusual lumps, bumps, rashes, teeth issues, matts or bald spots. This allows making helpful recommendations ahead of your dog’s groom together with Samantha’s professional advice in what she feels would be best for your dog.

Samantha specialises in terriers, working dogs and their crossbreeds which are breeds that she is passionate about. Working dogs notoriously love the mud and living with half the undergrowth in their coats. By keeping these breeds trim and tidy keeps them comfortable, in top condition and able to work effectively for you.

Whether you have a new puppy or a lovely old veteran, here at Country Barn Dog Grooming we cater for all ages and temperaments. We listen to our client’s wishes and will groom your dog within those parameters. Should the coat present challenges, this is always discussed with the owner and the best solution for the dog is paramount.

Country Barn Dog Grooming provides a safe, calm and friendly environment for you to leave your beloved dog. Contact Samantha and arrange a visit soon, where you and your dog will be more than welcome!

“My animal loves are dogs and horses. My parents were terrier and spaniel fans and this passion for the breed continued with my love for Patterdales and Jack Russells. These tough stubborn little characters are not the easiest of dogs but are full of love and loyalty.

Having ridden horses most of my life and been a horse owner for fifteen years, losing my beloved Belgium Warmblood Zeb a few years ago made me focus on my dogs after deciding to not buy another horse. I have started responsibly breeding Jack Russells using my fab stud dog Kobe and my interest in everything canine is now a big part of my life.

I have clipped horses over the years, so it felt natural to clip my own dogs which has now led to a new career. I have trained with the marvellous and professional team at South Coast Dog Grooming Academy learning every aspect of the work involved. (You can read about my training experience through Haynet, a leading rural life blog that I write).

I qualified in March 2021 and am very excited to launch my own business focussing on providing a professional dog grooming service with Country Barn Dog Grooming.”
