Polo People Places

Hi there! My name is Diana and I am a polo enthusiast and traveller of the world.

My actual polo skills are unfortunately still very limited, but what I lack in skills I make up for in passion and enthusiasm for polo. I also love traveling and exploring new cultures and places, getting to know different people with diverse backgrounds and stories to tell.

My story is (in very short) the following: I was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, my parents are a mix of Brazilian/British and Danish and I have lived in Brazil, Denmark, Spain, Buenos Aires, USA, Dubai and Bahrain.

When I started this blog my “day-job” was as a stewardess on a private jet and my time off was also spent traveling around the world, but to meet up with family and friends and watch and learn polo. Now my passion for polo has brought me to Dubai where I work with social media and marketing at the Al Habtoor Polo Resort and Club.

I started my blog, PoloPeoplePlaces.com to share my enthusiasm and interest for polo and travel and I hope to inspire others. I am sharing my experiences in learning how to play polo in various corners of the world and my goal is to inspire other girls (and boys) to get up from the sidelines and hop on a horse and give polo a try!

The equestrian world is enormous, with so many different facets to it and so much to learn. I learn every day, working in the office of the polo club I don't get quite as much horse time as some of the others, but I do try to steal moments to cuddle horses and I am always interested in seeing what is going on in the stables, from watching farriers and chiropractors, to just talking with the grooms and polo players there's a lot of wisdom out there waiting to be soaked up.

My mission here on the Haynet is to soak up some of all that wisdom and share it with you guys. Welcome to the world of polo!
